Travel in Canada to the Seaside City of Halifax, Nova Scotia
Traveling in Canada must needs a side trip to Nova Scotia and the city of Halifax. Like the rest of Canada, it’s a place where you can take full advantage of nature during the day and have the entertainment of a city at night.
Halifax is a natural harbor, indeed it’s the second largest in the whole world. One of the must-do’s while you are there is to sail from Halifax Harbor and take a waterside tour of the city. After such an exhilarating ride, why not take a table at the harbor side and watch the fishermen come in to dispose of their catch? It’s a good place to grab a quick snack or a whole meal as well.
Of course, a walking tour is possible around Halifax but if you would like to take a longer trek, there are many trails that can be taken around the general area. You could hire a guide to bring you but if you stick to the well-marked trails, you can go it alone.
It’s not surprising either that Halifax would be home to a renowned brewery that’s been in business since 1820 and offers tours as well. There are wine tours that you can take, with either one be prepared for a very jolly time!
Although, there is a more serious side to Halifax. It’s been built on ships and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is a place to go to understand it all. The museum is quite comprehensive and would be interesting to those that like boats and sailing. You’ll find artifacts from many wrecks, including the Titanic. Several real ships and boats are open for exploration at the pier and that may take several hours, to say the least.
After running around and tramping all over the place, where better to go than the spa? Halifax is quite renowned for the variety and quality of service given by their spas. It would be worthwhile to check it out after a really tiring day.
