Travel in Canada and see the Difference that is Banff, Alberta
Banff in Alberta is one place to go when traveling in Canada. It’s a popular spot with the locals and one that is crowded at best. However, it wouldn’t matter since nature still holds sway in this beautiful area.
This is one place for outdoors people. During the off-seasons, it’s a bit easier to take in the sights but that should never stop you from coming over in the summer and taking part in all the enjoyable activities. Whether it’s going to watch the wildlife, taking advantage of the hot springs, or just going to enjoy the sights of nature, Banff is the place to be.
If you’d like to get to the top of Sulphur Mountain but huffing and puffing is just not your style, then take the Banff Gondola to the top. Soak in the 360 degree views of the scenery and simply have fun. While you’re at the top, explore the walkways and the Cosmic Ray Station.
This is also the place to relax in therapeutic waters that are purported to take away all the aches and pains that you may have. It’s not a bad way to relax after tramping all over the mountain! Go ahead and soak for as long as you like in the Upper Hot Springs.
While staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel may require reservations made moths in advance, there is nothing stopping you from touring the hotel itself. You will be in awe at the magnificent lobby and may take quite a bit of time strolling through its grand halls. This “Castle in the Mountains” has been named a national historic site and has the distinction of being Banff’s first hotel, and still its grandest.
Add a bit of knowledge at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. Here is where all the culture and history of the Canadian Rockies are made clear with exhibits centering on natural history, arts, and social history.
