Toronto to Vancouver by Trans Canada Rail

Trans Canada is a very popular among the tourists, because one travel by train seeing most of the locations linked by the Trans Canada train. The journey begins by arriving at Toronto, which is distinguished as Canada’s biggest city.

There is lot of things to be seen related arts, entertainment and culture. One comes across great sights getting into the memory. Day-1:

The first and foremost place to visit go riding to the top of CN Tower, which has the distinction of being world’s tallest freely standing structure offering views not available any where.

Journey by Trans-Canada Train:

The next step is starting for train journey Trans-Canada departing at 10:00 PM from Toronto’s Union Station destined for Vancouver, which is located very near from the hotels. One can occupy first-class accommodation in the train functioning as sitting place during day and one can change the settings for upper and lower berths during night. It is an Overnight train.

Day-2:

In the morning train is about to reach little town of Gogama, Ontario. One can take piping hot breakfast in the Dining Car. The First-class passengers are authorized to use all lounge facilities on board the train including the Skyline Car which is place offering multiple entertainment facilities having observation dome having capability of 360-degree views and has three different salons besides upper observation deck. A camera is all you need to keep yourself busy.

Day-3:

Next morning the train reaches Winnipeg, which in the past was a place for Canadian fur trade because of 3 rivers junction offers location advantage.

In the afternoon one completes almost half of the journey. The next town of significance is Melville named in memory of Charles Melville Hays, being President of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad Company, who died in sinking Titanic.

Day-4:

Next Day morning one reaches Edmonton capital of Alberta, which is better known as north gateway. Now the train passes through mountainous region amidst forests and lakes on the way providing great opportunity to witness natural scenery.

In the after noon one reaches Jasper Park, which is a wild life sanctuary, one can see elk and mule deer wandering in their natural habitat.

At late afternoon, the train moves through Mt. Robson and reaches in British Columbia. After the evening take great dinner aboard the train and look at the hilarious scenes. This is a long journey passing through five provinces. Still one more night is to be spent in the train reaching Vancouver around 9.30 A.M.

Day-5:

Vancouver is a coastal town. One can avail of bus tour in Vancouver sight seeing at Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium, English Bay Beach, Granville Island and UBC Museum.

After traveling so long one must stay here in a local hotel and spend few days in visiting all the places in leisure time. The Train service is also available for return journey.
